Character, description

Ash burl favours groves, for it is the result of periodic trimming. This wood type was much used in furniture made in the Bresse and Dauphiné regions in the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries. It is sometimes found dyed with different colours in XVIIIth century marquetry.
